Where are you from / based?
Daniela aka Akasha was born and lives in Italy, where she is active on the psy-trance scene and sometimes organizes parties with friends...

How would you describe your style of trance (producer or DJ)?
At her first party, AKASHA loved the relaxtion and quiet of the chill-out and later also the passion of the opposite: psytrance, intense with nocturnal atmosphere. So, thanks to Mik3l (excellent DJ in the Italian scene!), she learned the various mixing techniques, and began an ongoing search for new sounds and tracks for a great dj set!

She likes to play at various times of the day: she loves the powerful obscure and mysterious of the night and the warm and electric air of the first light of the morning.

Your musical background and influences?
Her first approach with the music was at the age of six, when she drew it with her body in dancing. After years of dance, and the study of many different sounds, she decide to touch with her hands the one that is the music.

Her musical culture shows the influence of several genres: from classical to jazz to rock, punk and electronic music ( techno, drum'n'bass, trip-hop, dub, etc). She got in touch with "psychedelia" as a teen listening to psychedelic bands like the Doors and Pink Floyd, carrying on into the space of Cosmike Music (Krautrock), until catapulted five years ago into the magic of Trance parties and the entire culture.
